As each issue took on a different visual theme, we also took liberties with Deek's physical format as a magazine as well.
The How-To Incident required readers to cut the magazine along the dotted lines at the spine and reassemble it, matching edges like bad Ikea instructions.
The Self-Destruct Incident was printed without binding and had a single staple in the middle of the book to hold things together. Either the reader removed the staple and the magazine fell apart, or the reader tore the page upon attempting to turn it.
Madness came apart as onion skin, with each spread as a layer designed to be removed to continue reading.
